what bits to remove before scrapping

Post by steve4063 »

as the heading says which bits are best to take off.

i'm scarpping my convertible which was a saloon.

i'm taking off doors, glass, steering rack, interior, wings,is it worth taking off axles and big stuff like that. do they go wrong very often.

also i have a gold engine 1098 is it a gold seal and is it worth much yes it is out and i might sell it if its worth much.
i've been told its unleaded is that right.

It depends on whether you are getting another Minor and if so what bodystyle.
You are in a good part of the country to get rid of parts. Take a look on ebay and see what sells!

They were not made with unleaded heads although all those that are now rebuilt tend to have unleaded heads, the only way to find out is to remove the head and have a look at the valve seats its the only way to be 100% sure.
