Codenames Morris/Austin/Wolseley/BL
I have picked up the technical drawings today.
I now need to find out which models they belong to:
There are codenames and parts nos on the drawings.
Is there a list (preferably online of course ) of the part nos?
The one thing I have found so far is that there are a lot of drawings for the ADO 16 range (the 1100 range)

Well, I have come to that conclusion myself. If only I could get a bit more help from the Heritage Motor Museum round the corner here. I am sure thye have the info, just requires a bit of work

But would you agree that they are the only source of information?
I was quite surprised by their lack of enthusiasm when I mentioned I had technical drawings. Will pay them a visit, probably next week. To make an appointment to read/study the books

One more thing I would like to get confirmation of:
Austin dedicated a Drawing Office Number for a MODEL
Morris gave a specific individual car Drawing Office numbers
Is this correct? A source of mine in Holland told me this, and also that only the 1098 Minors have an Austin Drawing Office number (namely ADO059)

Hi Onne
Andy knows a bit about these numbers as his Dad and Grandfarther worked as enginers for Morris in Oxford. So in no particular order:
DO 1058 is an expermental update of the Minor designed by Gerald Palmer (who left Jowett to go to Morris)
DO1059 is the Wolseley 1500
DO1053 is an estate version of the B series Minor (never made production)
DO976 is a 1951 proposal for a revised Minor
DO954 was the Minor van prototype
DO990 was an experemental 1949 saloon
DO982 1950 Saloon
DO954 was a 1950 van
DO953was a 1951 Saloon
DO1021 was a 1951 tourer
DO1007 was a 1951 Saloon
DO1022 is possibly the Morris Minor Fire Engine
DO976 was a 1952 Saloon
DO1050 was a 1953 Traveller
DO1057 was a 1953 Saloon
DO1076 became the Morris 1000
DO1076/476 first 1000 tourer
DO1101 4 door Australian Minor
ADO59 1098 prototype
DO are Cowley Drawing office numbers replaced by the ADO numbers sometime after 1952 and date back as far as the 1920's
We will keep looking for more, let us know if there are others you need?
Antony

I seem to have gained some interest from the Triumph Club too
Found a drawing stating the model name Barb II
The Barb is the Triumph 2000 Mk I, they don't know the II
:D
