export models..

Post by dumbo »

My series 2 is an export model.Exported by Nuffields to Pireus in 55. Still has an old chrome GR label on the back. The point is how do I find out what its registration was before it was re-registered in the UK in 1957?

I would have thought that the Greek authorities in Athens would be the only place to have that sort of information.

Great Idea!! :D Unfortunately the car was owned and shipped from over here (uk) by a lady who worked for our embassy in Athens. This was in 1954 or 1955.I have been told that the British Embassy had alternative arrangements (maybe imported as a diplomatic baggage I don't know). It was only re-registered under English plates in London on its way back in 1957. Do you know anywhere else I can find out?

Only small chance is the embassy I guess, the DVLC won't have records of it.

What colour is it Onne ? Grey or Green? I don't think I have seen many of those.
How do you get your photos of your cars on the site?
