Well after a three month weldathon, my van passed its MOT on Saturday two weeks before its 36th birthday,

its a scary ride though I thought I,d see what it would do on the by pass on the way back, and thought I was doing about 70, white knuckles on the steering wheel, looked at the speedo and it was 55

!!
As an aside the MOT tester told me he was driving the works minor van in the sixties doing about 65 when the fan belt broke, got another 5 miles an hour out of it!

well done on the welding! and congrats on the MOT!
my brother got 60mph out of my baby on saturday!

Thanks for that, there where times when every tap of the hammer brought more holes to plate, but eventually I caught up and overtook the rot, still got a couple of plates to do on advice of the tester, but the vans main structure is now sound, and it didnt smoke to much during the test!
