This page had me laughing out loud ! http://freespace.virgin.net/tommy.sandham/maketv.htm

spot on!

But seriously the site does have some great info on Cortinas and restoration in general, he talks about lead loading and using 2-pack paint as a home sprayer.

Flying, I realise this may be a controversial request, but I for one would be really interested to see pics of your progress on the Cortina- perhaps it would be acceptable on the "Off Topic" section? Still relevant as its restoration techniques.

Excellent! The car looks great, I like the colour too, it suits it.
Congrats, and well done for doing the job with such high quality and so quickly! :D

Wish I could work 1/2 as fast, but there allways seems to be other stuff getting in the way.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Looks fabulous. I'm about to start my own weldathon so your pictures are a real inspiration (and a good way of showing a Minor novice like me where and how everything is supposed to fit!!)

You need to do this for a living! I know one person who'd happily take the misses on holiday to wherever you live and drop the morris off whilst there!
(oh, its me btw, if you couldn't guess)

I think he's referring to the speed and quality of your resto work, Flying!

Dunketh, it should not be an inspiration to get Flying to do the work, but should inspire you to learn to do it yourself! :)

Can I just add a big THANK YOU to flying. It's been most inspirational & as I've just started on the rebuild, after full strip down I'm using your photos as reference.

Unfortunately I don't have the time you had only a couple of weekends a month, but hopefully towards year end this might change.

Could I suggest, as a nieve newbie, that if you posted the other pictures to photobucket or Flickr, this would help to make you a 'demigod', as whilst what you posted was excellent sometimes I was left saying 'what if he had added some more angles or pictures'.

Best of luck with the Cortina - another excellent motor. Don't forget to show a link here to that forum of blog here.
