bearer gearbox conertion plate

Post by nib46 »

Hi
Can anyone supply me with a pattern or a drawing of a backing plate (Rear bearer gearbox plate acording to workshop maual ) for converting a ford 5 speed gearbox onto the A series Morris motor. Or even one for a Datsun 4 or 5 speed gearbox. I have been told there is a plate available but I’m wanting to have a go at making it rather than buying one. Therefore any help would be appreciated. Many thanks

Noel  :P

I think it needs more than a 'plate' - more like a special bell-housing. Available from specialists - but not cheap!

Yes the Ford box requires a new bellhousing and a different gearbox cover as well as other bits.
