isle of wright rally
does anybody have any info on the isle of wright rally to be held at haven street (i believe it's sometime in sept)

We went last year, and it was fun. It was our first rally, too.
It's held on the Sunday, though you can camp if you want and there were maybe 10 hardy souls who enjoyed a barbecue in steady drizzle on the Saturday evening
You get to drive through the station area and over the level crossing, and you'll get discounted fares on the railway on the sunday. We didn't know this, and rode on saturday
Quite a few make a weekend of it, whether camping or B&Bing. The weather is usually good, apparently, but was a bit iffy last year though it clearly up nicely on sunday.
Last year the island's RS Owners Club turned up - each car with nearly as much power as the rest of the rally put together
