Good old fashioned service!!

Post by leyther8008 »

Went to a Minor specialist in Wigan I,m sure you can figure out who!! for a new fuel pipe for my van, and I mentioned it had an in line fuel filter in the middle of the old one, The gent then proceeded to give me two additional clips and end fittings free of charge.
Now I know thats not a great deal of money but in these days when washers are charged for separatly, I think its a great advert for the company.
Cheers Bill!!

I'd like to add my ha'porth -
They've always been extremely helpful, always willing to impart good advice. Bill even lent me his gearbox 1st motion shaft to refit an existing clutch! Excellent service all round.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.

Mmmmmmmmm,Once again the subject of good and bad dealers is with us.I strongly feel that we should praise the good but also be allowed to criticise the not so good.I do realise the laws of libel and all that but if a dealer gives a rough deal and is proven to have done so, I feel we should all know about it.After all this is a free country, isnt it?All the best to you all,John.

Johnno, this is what the working party is going to sort out... An appropriate arbitration system for any complaints re traders or otherwise. If you have any ideas/suggestions then by all means come along and add them to the pot as everyone is welcome.

Hiya Lee,thanks for taking the time to reply.I do see the logic in your policy of not naming bad/indifferent dealers but it just seems to me to be an unfair balance. If I can come up with any ideas on this subject I will let all know. Please do not take this as a criticism, just an observation.Keep up the good work all moderators.I would not put myself in the firing line as you all do.

The logic is undeniable - to be blunt, the club does not want to be sued out of existence for libellous comments posted on its messageboard. A bankrupt club would be useless for Minor owners.

If any of the posters on here are multi-millionaires and wish to give the MMOC a guarantee that they will foot any legal bills then the situation may change.....
