90bhp to drive all that? I think it'd be quicker to get a horse to pull it along! Maybe a nice big V8 would make it a bit more interesting

Good luck with it. You could probably build quite a spacious motor-home on the back of it.

Onne,

I think you will regret purchasing it - have you checked out the spares situation, miles per gallon, price of tyres etc etc. If you are paying more than scrap value (around £100) you are being done.
I'm not being negative, just concerned.

I have great fears that I may not be allowed to drive it. It may be heavier than it looks.

Surely a Cab with chassis, a little diff and little engine won't way 10,000lbs?

Bin back body.
Fit a caravan on instead.
Register as a motorcaravan.
No limit then on weight as long as no goods carried.
Carry goods, as well as being a motorcaravan, and the goods aspect takes priority / you are back as being classed as a lorry.

Yes, and a sixties one too! I'll work on the cab and chassis first. Will be a challenge getting it in my container.

Less than 4" on either side

You can nest your vehicles. Like Russian dolls. Container, lorry inside container, Victoria inside lorry. And with the Robin Reliant inside Victoria... yer away! :D

Onne, I think you're completely round the bend. You've bought a clapped-out horse wagon that's slower than the horse it used to carry.

I bought a LWB / petrol Transit Luton and it struggled to do 15 mpg.

No harm in slow but can you cope with, I est, 10-12 mpg ?
