Dunno what type yet, as I can't find details on the DVLA site

Problem is that the paperwork is not there.

Can anyone help me on the type?

what are you going to do with it? you could live in it and tow your moggy behind, be a travelling dutchman. how much you get it for? and do you need help transporting it, or does it run? you know MOT's on big lorries are a nightmare.

calling me a pikey... It last had its MOT in 2001, not like I thought (my guess was before I was born!)

I am planning on making this a car ambulance of some sorts.

I don't think it is classed a lorry, I am sure it stays well below 3,5 tons

But I don't know whaty type it is, what sort of engine etc

Definately going to buy it now

Willie, are you saying I am Dutch?

It's Petrol :D

I am sure I can have fun driving driving, just a matter of changing one's standards.

What kind of engine is in there?

Onne - good luck with it - I think tony22 described the driving experience quite accurately. My friend used to work on them (dairy fleet) - if you want I can ask him, but I'm sure he'll laugh.

I have just found out that it is indeed quite heavy.. which means I am not even allowed to drive it....

I'll get round that somehow.

If I have my details right it has a 90 bhp 4L petrol engine

Second year of production FYI

I am not denying anything :D

Isn't be a tad bonkers a good thing?

If I get it back on the road I will probabaly run it as chassis cab for a while. Might even make it slighlty fast!

I am just wondering now if the chassis cab bit will fit in my container. I think I'll pop down and have a measure

calling me a pikey...
Actually no.

I'm calling the van a Pikey van! You'll probably find a family living in the back

4 litre engine and weighs many tonnes... are you sure your tools are big enough for it?

You need to be careful if you are considering using it for car carrying.
I'm not sure of the exact rules but there has been a change in law and is affecting the banger racers etc who use such.
A friend and I once considered buying an "classic" WWII lorry.
As soon as you put something on the back then it made a difference to registration, insurance, MOT etc.
A potential minefield so make sure you do masses of research first.

It looks like a money pit to me forget the idea. I think it would swallow all your money and give you nothing back.

Take some asprins and sleep on it. Thats my advice.

Sorry that was very forthright of me - not at all to character.
