I am trying to create a Morris Minor that can be used everyday. The shell is ready for paint apart from any modifications required to complete the following. I want the suspension to have adjustable coil overs but what rear axle should I use as I do not want leaf springs anymore and also require disc brakes on the rear. I have heard about 4/5 point rear axles but do not know where to find one. If anyone can help let me know.

Rear discs are not necessary, but I certainly would not advise against fitting them, so long as you use the early Series 11 master cylinder. They offer no better braking than a, 8" or 9" drum, but as a matter of choice I'd go for it. We have just fitted a set to a K converted traveller and have previously fitted a set to 'Moose' as seen on the Minor Mania web site.
If going for proper coil over all round then you can easily adjust the corner weights to address any natural inbalance. In our experience fitting servo assisted discs and Escort rears we have never locked up the rears even on the most demanding circuit, this with coil overs alllaround and our stage 1 front and rear suspension kits.

I see no particular reason to have discs on the rear. My 1200kg Ford Focus on has rear discs only because it's an estate - the very similar weight hatchback has drums, on a car that is far heavier than a Minor. And much faster too.
I'm going for a Mk2 Escort axle on my Minor to cope with the power, but will be leaving the 9" self-adjusting drums on.
