I did not like like what I saw! Calling the upholstery experts, could anyone pl confirm if the back side of a front seat (early series 3 , curved type) was actually attached to the seat by means of upholstery nails?
I also appreciate if someone could explain the sequence of re assembly of the seat parts

Early series 3 in the UK wasn't the curved type. I'm presuming the ones you mean are those like a Series II seat, with a decent curve in the seat back not the Austin-esque steel pole framed square seats?series 3 , curved type

refer to page 9 which mentions the seat backs being tacked on. This is for cars 1953 to 56 with the curved backs. The covers are still available.
