I've defrosted a frozen radiator in the bath (rented shared house - not too popular, making the bathroom smell of old car).
I've heated many parts (especially copper washers) on the gas stove.
I've cleaned many parts in the kitchen sink.
I damaged my nice new kitchen worktops when charging a car battery (the acid mist / spray is not good for glossy worktops)
I've had car parts stored in every single room in a 3 bed semi.
Turned my back garden into a messy scrap yard.
Leaked diesel, engine oil and EP90 all over the road in front of my house.
Spilled petrol and old engine oil on the back lawn.
Ran an air-cooled car on the lawn for an hour in summer - all the grass died.
I tend to use old brake fluid as weedkiller in the back road.
I often use my chopping board in the kitchen for rebuilding carbs/heaters/brake cylinders/ etc...
I've painted various things on the lawn.
I never got in trouble for any of this (apart from the radiator in the bath) - It pays to live alone
