Parcel shelf

Post by ndevans »

Morning all. Having read a few threads about parcel shelves & fixing them to the bulkhead, is there any reason why it can't be simply pop rivetted back to the bulkhead? Ours came out years ago and the original bifurcated rivets are long gone.
cheers,

Your choice I suppose but it would make future removal more difficult.
Can't you source some 6BA screws and nuts?

I've found the easiest way is to rivet it with washers onto the bar, the use machine screws and cup washers to secure it to the bulkead. So they can be loosely placed in, the bar secured and then tightened up. This way you don't risk ripping any of the holes if you need to remove it again.
