Leaving England 2nd March.

Post by ben739 »

I will be leaving 2nd March, shipping Traveller a few weeks before. I am looking at setting up a webpage for Morris Minor's in USA. I have not a clue how to build a page, is there someone that could help me out. I know we have some pc wizards here. In return, your welcome to visit Florida when i get settled.

Download NVu - its a freeby and works well with a few slight glitches but a lot cheaper than buying one- its also cross-platform which is nice!. Download Cute FTP to upload the site.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

Hope the Traveller doesn't get washed overboard - in a container!! I would thoroughly WAXOYL it - and smear grease on any shiny bits - before shipping it. It's likely to be seriously exposed to salty spray on the journey.

Don't use an Italian shipping company it might only make it round the coast. Enjoy your new life. Are you sure you don't want another minor to keep yours company?

Lucky you - getting a 'job' to pay for the shipping! I hope it's not just in a container - wrapped with a poly sheet, and a couple of bags of silica gel thrown in 'to control the humidity'!!

rest assured, morrsi will be fine. even though it seems everyone is planning and wishing for the worst. proves the Englishness of hoping people fail, and have bad luck still rings true. thanks for all the bad wishes, and to those who have given good ones thank you most.

I think it was meant to be a bit of gentle leg pulling nothing more.

I though that was just a Media Style type of reporting that they like to use when they have nothing else to report on, most people I know are not like that at all, sorry if you feel that way Ben.
Cheers

My mate is in the process of getting a quote for transporting his worldly goods and his Almond green traveller by container to Colorado in July - around £4k so far.
Biggest cost of the journey apparantly is from the port to Colorado. He is hoping to use it as daily transport and will be joining a local club there.

I am sure that everybody on this site is very anxious that your Minor has a safe journey and arrives unharmed in the states.
