how exactly does the sppedo light up? as in what kind of bulb is it? because i have an urge to make it flurecent blue... can anyone help? admittedly i may not do it as it may look a little.... odd

Not sure what you mean by flourescent but I can tell you that led's don't work too well. I tried this to make the thing a bit brighter but found that the led had to be positioned exactly right and then only illuminated a small area better than the original and the rest hardly at all.

A small, spherical bulb like an old style torch bulb.

OK moving on from the speedo, i have a cigarette lighter to fit to power my tomtom, where exactly does it need to be wired to? i have some idea i just want to make sure...
