It is with great pleasure I announce the opening of the latest and greatest of my constructions. 9 years in the planning, 3 months in the making. The very night I finished the winds were storm force whatsit and it survived (unlike my nerves).
Joemog is now a drymog. :D

I would like to thank my wife for putting up with my absence and accepting a bit of lost light whilst washing up, and PaulK for his invaluable metalwork. 8)

I like the way that the fence louvres are fitted so as to drip any water on to the neighbours side!

Nice one Pete - I have something similar in the plans for down the side of my garage.
How did you make the guttering work? I'll need to make mine right up to the boundary line (never a great thing to do) so I'm wondering about how to gett a gutter on top of the wall/fence. and connect the roof to the same place :-?

How did you make the guttering work
Ah yes, the 'keystone' in this little job and a work of art to boot.
Next door has a narrow passage to their side door and I had to make sure the carport didn't overlap their space in any way whilst also allowing as much width as possible for Joe. The gutter is directly above the fence panels. It's an aluminium extrusion with a continuous, angled plate halfway up protruding out towards the roof timbers which are slotted to suit.

Nice job that car port :wink:

I used to have one but the neighbours complained about the rainwater dripping on their drive :roll: mind, I do live on a hill and I'm 2' above their driveway so had to take it down... at least I have a good garage and room for three cars on the drive even though they're out in all weather.
Neighbours have moved now but can't be bothered re-building one :-? so if you're up this way and fancy earning a few quid :lol: :lol:

I'd love a shelter for our cars and the neighbours run a timber yard so parts would be very cheap. But, the listing on the house means I have to apply for planning permission to put up anything big enough to house even one car, let alone two.

£150 to apply, and I was hoping to do the entire thing for less than that. Bah.
