2 pence conversion

Post by RogerRust »

I think Bmcecosse pointed me in the right direction before. Can anyone send me the details for converting the waxstat jet on a HS4 to fixed? I remember it involved putting 2 1p coins in the wax jet.

Is this a worthwhile conversion?

What does the wax jet do anyway?

i think the waxstat jet was meant to adjust the jet up or down the take account of temperature. the idea is good but the reason people replace it is only because it is unreliable. Im not sure how to replace it, I thought you simply fitted the fixed type in place of the wax one...
thats my understanding anyway..

Costs more to do this in NZ, it takes two 5 cent coins. Pity is that they have recently been discontinued.
