WOW, your right John they are stunning pictures!

I only live 20 minutes drive from there and I've never seen inside before! Would love to go exploring in there before they demolish it all!

Forgive my ignorance here but what are we looking at? It looks very like a car production plant frozen in time. Is that what really happened? The workforce downed tools and just left leaving vehicles in a state of partial production, some still hanging over the dip tanks?
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

I thought the Chinese stripped EVERYTHING and containered it all up and shipped it all away. :-?

Does look like they've left the bodyshells part made!

Maybe all the bits left over have been earmarked for Race/Rally cars.

Fantastic pictures and words, such a bloody shame and a damning indictment of both Rover management and the government. Can you imagine the French turning their back on Renault, or the Germans disowning BMW?

An absolute disgrace.

Sad yet fascinating. Thanks for posting these.

I wonder what is in the 'Morris Engines' boxes that were mentioned?

Looks like someone forgot to read the "Will the last person to leave please turn out the lights" poster  .
Cheers, Axolotl.
