The HIF carbs use a completely different needle set-up than the earlier HS carbs - the needles are not interchangeable. The HIF 38 has a 90 thou jet - and the needles are AXX form. The HIF 44 has a 100 thou jet - with needles BXX. They are obviously not interchangeable.
