Spray gun APOLLO SPRAYMATE

Post by zippy500 »

I know that this opening old threads, but anyway!!!

Practical classics are recommending this again.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-APOLLO-SPRAYM ... dZViewItem

seem suitible for small amount of spraying, as I dont have a compressor or kit, and the garage isn't big enough anyway.

Could I have feed back from anyone who has used one. Is it any good ?(practical classics seem to think so).

Cheers

Hi

Practical Classics have reported on the Apollo Spraymate before.

I can only endorse what they say:
the unit is robust and easy to use. considering the unit is fairly basic it gives surprisingly good results.
I wouldn't hesitate to have ago at spraying a complete shell the results have been that good.

A friend of mine told me about it. he raved over its performance, and although i was sceptical at first I have to admit it can do everything it says it can do very professionally.

Used one about 20 years ago with good results. Only thing is, don't expect a great finish straight off the gun - it will need cutting back. I only used it with cellulose, so can't comment on other paint finishes.

Anyone remember the Electrolux add-on gun for their cylinder vacuum cleaners? Switch the pipe to the 'blow' end and attach the gun & away you went. I sprayed a number of 'bangers' with that - Victor 101, HB Viva...
