Just wondering if you guys can advise me on the best way to go about sorting my doors.
AS you can see from the pics all 4 need somthinhg doing.
Ive seen advertised the repair panels, but never having done any bodywork before i wonderd what they were like to fit. I can weld (just replaced both chassie leggs). Also as the doors have been bodged before and have nearly 1/2 and inch of filler over a crude repare pannel losing the original shape, would this be a problem in fitting the repares?
Could it be a better idea to try and find a better set of doors and save myself the trouble. If so wheres the best place to look?
I hope someone can help as i need to doo the sills next and someone told me that its best to check the door fit befopre welding it all up. With these i might as well not bother.
Sorry, there are no easy answers to this. Rust free Minor doors (without an expensive Minor attached) are pretty rare. You may search for a long time without having any luck. Scrap cars that have rusty floorpans tend to have rusty doors as well. It took me two years just to find a solid driver's door (which has a dent). Also remember that the rear doors are somewhat rarer as they are unique to the 4 door saloon.

I have a pair of black drivers-side doors that do need a repair to the bottoms but look in better shape that yours. They are complete with handles, locks windows, frames etc.

Pete. I would be intersted (depending price ect.) Although im relying on my folks for transport at the mo so collection might be a problem (not shure yet)

I diddnt think there were doorskins available for the 4 doors. The only ones ive seen are the 2 doors. Im worried about its the lack of internal structure at the bottom The repare section for this is noware near big enough.
Edd you could try Morris Services at Colchester 01206 542039 to see if he has any spares

If the bottom inner and outer repair sections are particular to the 4-door model I have a pair of these for the front door too. If they are long enough for the 2-door cars thought I will be keeping them 'cos Doris will need them.
Doors + repair sections £50 + p&p sound OK?

From bitter experience I have found it better to repair doors that fit than looking for a "better" one that probably will not fit when you have painted it . There seems to be considerable difference in the measurement of the gap for a door !!!! mine is half inch difference on either side and the "better" door I bought will not fit without moving the wing... Philip
Pete Any idea how much the p and p will be? Im Still intersted. I think the repair panels are shorter for the 4 door though i think ive seen some that are 2 door just cat down
Sorry to be a pain. Ive just been given a 4door out of the blue by a guy 8 doors away, so i shant need the doors now. I hope this hasnt caused too much agro.
Thats often the way Edd, I was after a couple of late saloon light units to experiment with and ended up paying £5 for a pair and then a couple of days later got given a couple.

2013... managed to seize my 1275 just by driving it round the block
Unfortunately the boot is full of filler although it doesnt show it in the photo. I still plan to finnish it though as its now almost sound underneath bar the drivers side sill and was a low millage one owner car with alot of local history. I live about 6 miles from where it was originaly purchased.
No worries. I didn't manage to get anything sorted yesterday. Tell you the truth I didn't know where to start as I couldn't find out the weight of the things anyway!

How easy are doors to repair, i have a well and truely knackered drivers door but wouldnt have aclue how much a new one would cost. My car is no shown winner, so want to have a bash at repairing it myself. Any advice please
