Following on from a previous post, how did you guys and girls strip back the rust and paint when restoring/repairing your moggies.

I'm getting my MM series media blasted, but have used most of the above methods to remove paint/rust. When I stripped a vinyl roof off a Minor I was spraying, I resorted to the flame from an oxy acetylene torch (very carefully and set low)

Well.... I did about 99% of the sprite with various rotary abrasive stuff, but I also sandblasted a load of the bits I couldnt reach with them. The best abrasive thing i found was a product called Face-off by irwin, not cheap but I got them at a discount store so they were! Basically resin impregnated kevlar and they work pretty quickly... probably need 6 or 7 to do a whole shell.
When it was back to bare metal I painted the whole lot with hammerite kurust let it dry, sanded it back and primed it!
