I looked mine up at www.vehiclelicence.gov.uk as I didn't know it either.

The Everly Brothers and "Cathy's Clown" was top of the pops when William rolled out of the factory, according to
http://www.everyhit.com/number2.html.

Never heard it. Probably sounds like a mis-firing Morris.

Haven't got the original registration (Phyllis was restored sometime in the 80's, so all data seems to start then) but I've done the check for the day she was signed off the Morris Motors ledger - 27th February 1962.

Top of the Pops on that day, pop-pickers, was Rock-A-Hula Baby / Can’t Help Falling In Love - Elvis Presley

Happy Minoring!

For Humphrey (14th April 1958) it's Perry Como - Magic Moments.
For Sarah (8th June 1970) it's Mungo Jerry - In The Summertime!

I think I prefer Mungo Jerry somehow... :P
