Not relevant as it was not on a Minor, although it was on an A series Austin
which had an intake pipe which could be moved from summer to winter
position. Re the remarks earlier about cutting more intake holes in the standard 1098 air filter I though I would try it. I cut a 1 1/4" hole in the casing facing downwards. The increase in induction roar was immediately
noticeable, so much so that I plated the hole up immediately.
