Post by Naadeslaus »

Will it work to put a 948 Head on a 1098 engine?? Does the 948 have a smaler combustion chamber?
Best regards Kim

It will 'work' - but there will be a serious drop in performance. The inlet valves and ports are smaller - and the combustion chamber is very cramped around the valves - it is slightly smaller so the volumetric compression ratio will be increased a little - but the barometric compression ratio (which is what matters) will be much worse. Do it only as a temporary measure to keep the car going.
