Torque requirments for mechanical assenblies?

Anybody have any factory or experiencial information on torque settings to be used for various assemblies on the car? My dad gave me a torque wrench in a pile of tools and so far I haven't used it as I have no idea what to set it to.

I'm pretty experienced in doing things up "tight enough but not too tight" after years of building bikes, but I'd like to know if there are any recommendations, official or otherwise. Suspension is the current area of interest, but the driveline is going to be next.

Diff pinion nut...140lb ft. Front Hub nut 35-40 lb ft. road wheel nuts 37-
39lb ft. Prop shaft nuts/bolts 28lb ft.Eye bolt nut(front suspension)50lb ft.
Front damper bolts 28lb ft. brake backplate securing bolts 28lb ft.
Rear damper bolts 30lb ft. rear spring shackle nuts 28lb ft.

If you look in the General Data section of the official workshop manuals the settings for most things are there.

I just assumed the data would be in the relevant section of the manual.

Yes, I've often wondered/expected the torque settings to be at the end of a relevent section. Mind you the manual appears to be a bit short on suspension torques, so the info from Willie is helpfull.
