The type number is 038.
I recently bought one made by exide, it wasnt the rubber type but still looks fine and it was under £35 with a 3 year guarentee.
Cheers

There is a place that makes the original rubber type, somewhere on the south coast but i can't remember name or town - sorry!
If you want the original type it's going to be more expensive but not impossible.

I'm not surprised they are expensive. The production runs must be very small.

I suppose for a concours car it might be worth it .............?

All you need is a black battery - other colours look wrong IMO.

I cheated (what a suprise!) and printed an old battery label from a stock photo and laminated it. Then stuck it on the new battery.
