Rear Axle removal

Post by RogerRust »

If your going to strip an axle undo the hub nuts and remove the hubs while it is still on the car.

I learnt this the hard way - it was like wrestling with a snake- and I have some experience with that!! It would have made a good video there I am with the biggest spanner HarryMango could sell me and every time I tried to turn it the whole axle rotated. In the end I hit the spanner with my lump hammer and shocked it off.

And I suppose your better half just complained about the noise/language  instead of helping.
