Drive cleaners

Hi gang,
Just been reading a product test on drive cleaners.
Swarfega came out on top, less than £4 and makes up to 100 litres.
But you must buy the Swarfega Oil & Grease Remover in a red container

, NOT the Swarfega Patio & Drive Cleaner in the green container which apparently is useless

I'll pass that tip on to my wife - she's always complaining about the marks on the drive !

Thanks for the tip - I could really use that stuff. But have you checked that it can just be washed away and doesn't have to be disposed of properly?

try washing powder and water leave and then hose off, good on oil.

Then use Ecover laundry bleach on any dark spots on concrete. Keep it localised to the oil stain though or you'll leave a big clean patch and make the rest of the drive look grubby.

Note: Clarkes contains hdrochloric acid, so is considered a desperate measure solution by testers.

Really depends on the strength of the acid

if you use it on concrete then it will dissolve it (eventually). Can't see it helping on the asphalt we have

By the bye - be careful with the descaler on your marble worksurfaces as well - and don't dip you pearls into it!

Jiff cream - or whatever it's called now - Smag or something? Cheapest thing and with a good stiff brush it lifts up anything and everything. I've used it on my garage floor for years and it's spotless. Cheaper than stuff from your Motoworld too!
