Positive or Negative Earth?

Hello All,

Apologies if this has been discussed before, but my old girl is still +VE earth and I was wondering if there is any good reason to change?

I don't intend to fit anything modern so there is no practical reason to do so.

I'm sure I remember something in the dim and distant past about polarity and body corrosion but I may well have imagined or dreamt it?

So, any thoughts? Is anyone else out there still +VE or have you all converted so that you can fit your boom boxes in the boot?

Its a zero cost conversion and doesn't take long. I only converted so I could fit a radio. If your concours it better stay +ve!
I also have heard the urban myth about the earth points corroding, but have never seen any evidence of it.

I agree with all of the above.
Every positive earth car I've owned , of any make, one of the first things I've done is change polarity.
Only trouble I've ever had was with a Sunbeam Rapier where I had to dismantle rev counter to swop over the internal connections.
I did the "conversion" to my Minor the other week. Took about 10 minutes - and most of that was undoing / retightening battery clamp nuts ;-)
The clamp, on my car, was reversible, so no need to cut any clearance for terminals.

My Traveller is 99.5% original spec and that includes positive earth!
