Temperature sender

Post by badfelafel »

My little morris appears to have a temperature sender - whether it works or not is anyones guess!

Anyway, the connector is covered in green paint. I now have a little temp gauge to fit and a little connector for the temperature sender.

question is: do i need to scrape the paint off? Or does it conduct well enough?? And whats the best way to get the paint off!

Any ideas?

Thanks!!

Paint is an insulator. I'd use a sharp screwdriver to scrape most of it off and then fine emery paper to polish it. The sender may designed for a different gauge and give the wrong reading with yours.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
