voltage stabiliser

Post by sidsmith »

Hi all you moggy men, I have asked before on this subject but I want to get it perfectly clear before I attempt to fit my Temp' gauge. I have bought a sender unit from the MM centre and put it on the block where the blanking bolt was. now I think I have got the wiring correct but If Not can someone put me right. I bought a stabiliser off of Ebay ( I don't want to use the one on the speedo) It consists of a small block with 3 wires coming from it.
Red, Black and white.
Red goes to the live feed from terminal A on the reg' box
white goes to the gauge
black goes to earth
with another piece of wire coming from the other side of the gauge to the sender unit.
your comments would be greatfully appreciated.

Did the stabiliser come with instructions? Is it for a +ve earth system?

The basic layout you describe sounds right, if the stabiliser is for +ve earth or polarity independent, and the white wire is the stabilised voltage.
