Hi I was going through the threads about temp' senders and came across yours. it's well explained but can you tell me if the wiring you have described is for pos' earth or neg' earth as mines is pos' earth. cheers ....Mungo

It does not matter which. The feed comes from live to the gauge, through the gauge to the temp sender, through the sender to earth

hi steve, when you say through the sender unit to earth, I take it that the sender unit body to the engine block is the earth connection.

Yep that is the earth. Have a look at the technical tips section. There is a wiring diagram there.
