underseal to get rid

how do you get rid of underseal it clogs my grinding discs and wire brush is there an easy way to remove it.

Nope, wood chisel, scraper, and a lot of hard work I'm afraid. :( :wink:

Solvents and stripper will soften it ........makes a ghastly mess, however.

Jonathon, being trade I bet you've accidentaly sprayed stonechip onto underseal :) Takes it off a treat but is very expensive stripper :lol:

Easy,get someone else to do it
My saloon is just back from the blasters.
Still,there is alot of mess to clean up, but most of the stickie stuff is gone..

Heat gun and scraper makes it much easier. Heat just infront of the area you are scraping, this softens the underseal and heats the scraper. The underseal then comes off easily. The small residue left can then be tackled with wire brush on grinder.

i agree with chickenjohn thats how i got it off my saloon. heat guy and scraper. took me a few weekends to do the whole car but not too long. kessey

oh underseal is brill stuff, pain in the neck to get off a good scrapper and heat is the best.
