carpet sets

Post by tickman »

anyone the difference between the two types of carpet on ESM website apart from £20 of course :-?
is the newton commercial worth the extra?
this is next on the list along with a full set of rubbers (doors and windows)
after i fit my oil pressure guage.

I really like my NC carpet set for my MM, but I don't know what the other one is like.

just wondering if the pile and piping is different!
very difficult to get an accurate idea of something from pictures or descriptions!

Well my last set came from Bull Motif and were very good but I have seen some with a thicker pile.
Cheers

I'd definately go for Bull Motifs premium quality carpet , it is excellent quality. I never buy Newton Commercial carpet as I feel that the quality is dreadfull and lets down the rest of their product range, I have asked them why the carpet is so poor, and I have been assured that they will be looking into producing better quality.

most places selling carpet sets will send you tiny free samples of the carpet used, so that you can have an idea of the quality.

i've found repeatedly that the same "quality" (ie stock number) of carpet from a seller can vary a great deal between the different colours, for some reason - and the same colour can vary from roll to roll, so it's a good idea to ask for a sample of the colour you plan to use, and ask for it as near as possible to the time you actually plan to order it - make sure it will be from the same roll.

not too bothered about the colour, would just like some carpet which has not self destructed on the drivers side.
i will call Bull Motif for a sample of red, depending on the size the girls could have a fire side rug for Barbie (or a fluffy arm band  )

that would require more effort than i had hoped to put into the carpet, other things need doing but the carpet is a hopefully quick job!
don`t want to say a 10 min job as they take all weekend at best

If you take the front seats out is much easier to do properly.

the front seats will be comming out as i need to sort the drivers seat as you disappear down the back of it :o

it has has a rubber replacement fitted underneath instead of the individual straps but i think the foam seat is too small for the base, leads for an interesting driving position after a little while :D
