Is there a wind proof method to folding the hood down so that it does not open up and balloon out dangerously when driving. Despite my efforts to fold the 'canopy' carefully and tuck it in to itself etc, ther are times when it flaps about.
Is there a 'hood puch' or something similar I can get ... i have seen 'pouches' for beetle hoods.
cheers

You can get a "hood bag", which is like a tornneau cover which fits over the folded canvas, Very nice they look, too, but they're not cheap. There again, what price would you put on eliminating the flaps?
What's that? You'd put a couple of quid? Don't be silly....
Well,... there is a way. You could try using shoelaces to contain the canvas - use one either side, in about the region of the boot hinges. That might help stop the canvas turning into a reverse spinnaker... ;)
Seriously (for a change), the hood bags are available. I have a parts list for MGM somewhere. They are one of the companies doing convertible conversions, and list the hood bag in their spares catalogue.

hood bags
The hood bags are available in many colours and cost
about £65-00 in vinyl or £70-00 in canvas. They are
not exactly a perfect fit but certainly much better than
your flapping nuisance! (The bad fit is as originally
supplied by the factory). The parts list I have looked at
is on 01562 747718
