Cobra Superslot Alloy Wheels

Post by Iain_89_Peggy_64 »

Hey folks!

I've been looking for a set of alloy wheels which I think look rather nice on a morris minor. They're called Cobra superslots. Alledgedly.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate a set. :(

Does anyone know a supplier, or someone selling them on the cheap???

I'll try to post a pic/link of them later...

Does anyone know a supplier,
I dont think they have been made for some years the only alloys in current production are the minilite style ones, remember that on the standard minor the PCD is 4" so the modern 100mm PCD is not at all suitable.
Cheers

And Minilites do look the part on a Minor - just wish I could find a set at the right price!

Which has reminded me - do you (in a strictly non advertising way, of course... :D ) do nuts for Minilites to Minor hubs? WIll I need different studs too - the standard ones seem very short...

You will get a set off E bay if you look often enough (I've posted links before regarding this). I use www.speedshack.co.uk for studs/nuts - very knowledgeable.
BTW they look the part on a Minor - minilites too common, but a compromise if you need something immediately.

Each to their own :D Minilites are the only alloys I like, on the Minor and most other cars...

Thanks people, I'll be looking on eBay then!

I don't really want minilites, as far too many mini drivers round my way have them on. (obviously)

I've never actually seen them on beetles, just those solid stainless steel type things.

SR - your p-up looks fantastic - just my personal view that I don't like the Cobra wheels - and i think your vehicle would look even better on Minilites - but it's everyone to their own.

Wellers are another nice wheel. (ebay - 'weller wheels').
As are 'starmags'. Both types tend to come in chrome too.
Most Minor wheels will be either 2nd hand or v-expensive new so take your pick!
Personally I love cobras but hate minilites on anything bar minis and old fords. Dunno why??
What would Macgyver do..?

Not Minor stud pattern, but ford and triumph (8 holes) - just an example of prices and availability - easy to find.
