Hello there my name is Nikolas and i recently purchased a morris minor 1954 splitscreen 2 Door S2.
Currently the brakes are not very good and i would like to replace them with disc brakes.
Does anybody knows whether this is feasible and if yes which ones are the most suitable?

yes, disk brakes are available - there have been may discussions regarding these - try using the "search" facility - this will avoid lots of repeated advice!
If I remember, the '56 Minor will have 7inch drum brakes. The latest minors have 8inch and this will make a noticeble difference.
Do remember that the drum brakes need more maintenance than disks - I need to re-adjust mine every 3 months (or so), and that the braking system may need careful checking (it's over 40 years' old!)
It is worth checking the state of the brake shoes, drums and system before changing to disks - you may find that this improves the system a great deal.

If you want to fit discs ask about which kit to use. I know at least 1 person who has fitted someones kit and now wishes they'd saved up a wee bit more cash and bought someone elses kit.
Some of the cheaper kits assume you will do more stuff to your car ie drilling holes and reshaping the disc calipers, than most weekend Mechanics would be happy with.

Indeed. It really is worth making sure that the system you have is working as well as possible before adding disks.Hope you have deep pockets!
