Hello to England,
i have to fit a new valve (oil release) and a new oil pressure switch,
the switch is no problem just behind the distributor, but the valve -
i have no idea where to find it.
sorry for my bad english (i have to learn it better)
it is a 1098 engine.
:D :D
cheers
Johannes
PS.:
without the polite help of all the Minor-Friends in UK - it would be much harder to restore my Minor -thanks to you!!

The pressure releif valve is next to the pressure switch - you will see a big hexagonal head sitting there - the valve is underneath.
Normally you only change the spring (if it is too short)

oilpressure
Hello,
that is exactly my probleme, the enginge is in good condition, but sometimes the orange light for low oilpressure starts to light up a little bit
that makes me a little crazy - so i think it only a problem with the relief valve or the switch. Normally if the engine dies, the light becomes orange - full light - but my light becomes only a little bit orange. So i will
start to repait with the switch + releif valve-
Oh sorry - my english - i think it sound like kiasuheli for you.
Best regards
Johannes

oil pressure
The length of the oil pressure relief spring should be exactly 72.63mm. Do
NOT stretch it any longer. The most common cause of a flickering oil light
on a decent engine is a faulty pressure switch which ,happily, is the easiest
item to change.

It's very unlikely to be the pressure relief spring as this lets the oil run straight back into the sump whenever the pressure exceeds the setting ( regardless of engine revs) . The only possible problem with the pressure relief could be a stuck 'bullet' due to swarf etc . most likely is the switch or you have genuine low oil pressure when ticking over which won't be solved without an engine rebuild.
Just change the switch - if the light is still coming on make sure you have 20W50 oil - and lift the idle speed slightly! Don't worry about the relief valve - it's not that. There is a second light for blocked oil filter - also orange - are you sure it's not that light ?? If so - oil and filter change required - good idea anyway!
