Nobody makes them in 'glass any more, AFAIK. Steel ones do occasionally come up on ebay, at varying prices/standards.

If anyone has a mint cab back and are prepared to lend it to us, I'm willing to have a mould made.

It's on a car at the mo, Jonathon, so presumably no use where it is. Plan is to swap it for a steel one soon, but I'm waiting for my welder to repair that, then it's all yours.

Good man!,man.
Nikki, glass front and rear saloon wings, traveller rears, oversized rear saloon ,low light front wings, series 11 and standard front panels ,flip fronts, boot lids standard and smooth, external sunvisors, bumper trays front and rear, front spoiler. 5 speed gearbox tunnels,K series air box, think that covers it, ohh! soon to be released pickup cab backs. These are all off the shelf items at JLH and some other dealers.

trav rolling shell into flat bed

Post by e-minor »

Hi
I have now got a solid traveller less the wood ...well its a cab and floor pan (still rolling) whats my next move

where do i put this strengthening frame that has been recommended any diagram would be gratefully appreciated...also any idea as to the best way of filling in the passenger compartment back...

i had asked if the genuine pick up back would fit but was told that needed to mate to 4dr pillars..

i fancy using aluminium tread plate for the flat bed

thanks

I just happen to have several steel pick-up cab backs for sale, if you fancy one. They too are meant to fit to the 4 door pillar, but maybe worth a go?

If you look earlier in the posting you will see that SR who built one got his advice from Steve Foreman of Woodies, so I would have thought that that was the best place to start.
Cheers
