For comparison, have you seen that Mid Sussex Minors sell late hood frames
for £150 ?

I think you will find that the majority of hood frames and in fact convertible kits are from John at Mid Sussex. :D

I had a bespoke hood frame made a few months ago by John. This was for a splitty conversion to a convertible, but as I don't like the lines of the early hoods John combined the front rail fit and front bars to the later frame. I must say that the build was very good. I have trial fitted this frame to a genuine convertible and all seems very good. I may just tidy up a few welds on the frame, but thats me being a perfectionist rather than any shortcommings with John's work :D :D

just to let everyone know, i've just picked-up a frame from john at mid sussex minors.
i was expecting to start grinding welds and painting but, to my delight, the welds are quite tidy and the frame is already powder-coated read to fit.
the fit is all i could have hoped for, if anyone is looking for a frame then don't hesitate this guy really knows what he's doing.
