Question is

If I have some thermostat studs from a later Mini will they fit my 1969 A-Series cylinder head ..

Yes. May be different lengths though to suit different thermo covers, and Mini has the rad hanging on these too. But they will fit.

No BMC, it's for a a hot water take off for his LPG conversion :wink:

Yes - I read the thread - and I did run an LPG car for several years (wish I had it now) - but Metro sandwich plate is overkill.

Why do you think it's overkill? It looked very simple to me .. However I will consider anything simpler :)
