Quick Exhausts

Post by d_harris »

As many of you know, I am intending on running the engine in the trav in a mild state of tune,

Currently I have the inlet side of things sorted (Hif 38, K&N filter and minisport manifold - cheers Onne!) I'm also hoping to procure a 295 head but I have no idea what I can do with the exhaust, as I would imagine that would now be the major stumbling block.

Any ideas what I could use?

Get a Maniflow system & 3 branch manifold. They flow better and are much better built than the 'Falcon' systems that we've all had so much 'fun' with

If I was doing mine again, I'd go Maniflow. :D

This message board is like a family - you can't choose the other members!! But remember engine oil is thicker than water.

I wish now I'd gone with them too. They are only just up the road and the Falcon system is total pants
Older and more confused than I could ever imagine possible.

Just stick with the standard system for that 'mild' state of tune. My engine has a much better head (12g940) and it's fine on the standard system. probably slightly strangled - but it runs perfectly ok.

Just get the manifold and then make up a system yourself - 6 feet of straight pipe and silencer - should be pretty cheap.
