adjusting window frame

Post by cliff »

is it possible to adjust the top corner of the window frame so it isn't such a tight fit on the door rubber.

i see three rubber grommets covering bolt heads, i think these hold the frame to the door but do they allow for any adjustment?

I don't think there is any adjustment. You could shim the hinges perhaps. Or thinking about it maybe you could get a washer or two behind the fixing bolts you describe. Have you tried openning the window a giving the frame a gentle shuv!

Sorry I,ve just re-read your question. If you mean in/out adjustment rather than front/back. Then you can probably loosen the bolts and move it a bit.

hi cliff.
if you leave the top one slightly tight, the losen the lower 2 it is possible to get a couple of degrees of movement. over the length it makes a differance, bot not much. this and a bit of gentle persuasion can help.

ok, i've got a couple of degrees, just enough to ease the situation.
the frame now touches the rubber at the same time as the door - sorted.
thanx :)
