Trunnion followup

Post by mollymalone »

Thanks for help, have now removed lower trunnion. The replacement parts for this trunnion came with a pin and rubber bushes for the inner end of the wishbone - the bit that holds the end of the torsion bar- how does this come apart and what problems am I likely to encounter? Mollymalone

If you have the trunnion off - you must have the front arm off the eyebolt. The rubber bushes go in there. Are you sure the 'pin' is not for the trunnion ? And are you sure the 'bushes' are not just the sealing rings for the trunnion ?

Kit came from ESM. Have fitted pin and seals to lower trunnion but still have thinner pin + rubber washers which I think is for inner wishbone. The inner wishbone holds end of torsion bar - how does it come apart

You must already have the front part of the arm off - the bushes can be replaced, and if nothing wrong with the pin - leave it alone!
