Finally got round to removing the passanger side front wing last Sunday,Only to find a rust hole I could park another Morris in. I have had a close look and have purchased Inner & Outer sills, Flitch repair panel and hinge post replacement panel.
I have never done this before, yet feel confident if I take it slow and steady I should be able to complete the job. I know not to cut to much out at one time, however would like to know if you guys or gals have found a method or sequence in order for replacement. Im no stranger to metal work but I am with a underside section of a Morris.
Any comments or "you dont want to do that" advise would be welcome from past masters.
Cheers
Paul

I haven't done this job, though have replaced some other panels.
My advice is:
1. Get a copy of the morris minor restoration manual printed by haynes. I'll think you'll find the specific area you are tackling well covered.
2. Dont cut corners, make sure you replace all that you need to, not just what is easy to access.
3. Measure twice and twice again. Time spent on fit, measring and thinking will be rewareded by avoiding stuff ups.
4. Dont forget to buy above mentioned book!

Good advice above! I did simmilar work on my Traveller- if you can wait a few days, I'm going to upload a despcription and pictures of what I did. Hopefully, this will be of some help, although I don't claim to be an expert, the car has passed 2 MOT's since the work, not fallen apart and not started rusting, so what I did was not too wrong.
Cheers John - all comments IMHO

repairs
It is all too easy to get the alignment of the new sections wrong which will
ruin the door fit! You would be well advised to support the car with multiple
jacks etc so that the door aperture is as well aligned as possible and then
weld or bolt a temporary strut across the door opening before you remove too many vital bits!

Many Thanks, I have spoken to other members at our local meet last nite and got some good advise. I will be doing the sills first ,then looking at the door hinge post. Will definatly be measuring twice and cutting once.
Still be interested in which order of replacing the inner and outer sills have people gone.
