How about that exhaust wrap you see advertised for manifolds? Surely if it can keep heat in it can keep it out! I don't know how easy it would be to put on the supply to the pump. Sorry if this has been suggested before.

Of course, wrapped around the exhaust it will keep heat out the engine bay by keeping it in the pipes - Might be worth trying it that way...?

The local good stuff and stick on tat factors has some wrap for not silly money, I'm thinking of trying it sometime (though no doubt my insurance company will say no...) just to see if it really can help underbonnet temps at all.

I noticed it was mentioned before to be used as intended on the exhaust. But if used on the pipe as well would surely insulate it from engine bay temperature and the pipe would be cooled by fuel from the tank!

...plus it would need less than the exhaust, always a cheapskate me!

Costs the same per roll whether you're putting round fuel pipes or exhausts

I was thinking round fuel pipes might be a bit cumbersome and in places tricky (where pipes clip to the body), whereas along at least the front part of the exhaust might be easier and look a bit neater
