Petrol Caps

Post by dnac »

Are they different between saloon and traveler, I bought one on ebay last week, that the guy said was for a traveler and it does not fit my saloon.

My tank filler hole has the slots for the cap to register on the outside of the tube, and the old owner has used an old Rad cap, while this seems to hold the petrol in, it does not look exactly good.

The new cap I bought would need the slots on the inside of the pipe.

Any ideas??

The petrol caps usually come with the cap itself and a mounting bracket which clamps to the filler tube. I don't think they're different for saloon and traveller.
