fuel sender
1969 black speedo, cant get a new sender, so ESM sent me a used one, tanks nearly full but only reads half
, its enough to bring a tear to a glass eye
, any ideas friends, willie

is the sender in straight, I had the same prob and found the float was fouling a baffle in the tank.

STEVE, late type black speedo should have sender unit with a lucar push-on
type connection. If that is ok then follow Kevins advice and check that the
sender unit is fitted so that the float can swing in a straight line between the
rear wheels with the Lucar terminal pointing towards the OFF-SIDE wheel.
